PSA: Working in a local coffee shop can lead to meeting incredibly inspiring woman who not only become your friend, but also your clients. I met Lauren at Grace Coffee Co. in Middleton, WI on a random work day where I just needed to get out of the house. We hit it off immediately, exchanged our Instagram handles and stayed in touch via the ‘gram for a few months.

Eventually Lauren sent me an email asking if I’d be open to another coffee shop date where we could chat about your nutrition counseling business and how Marra Creative Studio could potentially be of help. Over matcha and chat lattes we got into the nitty gritty of where she was it with her business, what her goals were and ideas for what it would take to get her there. As champions for women owned business, I could not be genuinely more excited for Lauren and her brand, The Dish by Lauren. Spend 5 minutes with her and you can feel her passion for helping others find a nutrition lifestyle that works for them. She too is their biggest cheerleader and I wanted nothing more to help her reach a bigger audience so more people could get access to her wealth of knowledge and experience.

After learning about all of our brand identity development, website design and brand photography services, Lauren decided to go big with her business and invest in the Branding PRO Package which included both brand identity, Showit website design and a 4-hour brand photography session. Fast forward a few weeks later and we met for a fun-filled, very busy shoot day all over the Middleton and Madison, Wisconsin area. We shot at 3 different locations with over 10 outfit changes and Lauren ended up with a huge gallery of assets that we used for her new website (launching soon!), marketing collateral assets and social media content.

What is “lifestyle brand photography?”

We approach our brand photography shoots with a lifestyle approach with the goal to ensure that the content feels approachable, relatable, on brand and ideal clients can envision themselves working with the coach, or using the products in their own homes or lifestyle. This approach usually involves us shooting in a variety of locations that fit the brand aesthetics and we highly encourage our business owners to be in front of the camera as much as possible as people love to invest in owners they’ve come to know and love.
